telling tales of doing the impossible

This may not be where you want to be

Hi. This blog is taking a leave of absence and will return sometime in 2023.

Why? Well, I’m Sherrie Cronin, the author of a collection of six speculative fiction novels known as 46. Ascending. I’m in the process of publishing a historical fantasy series called The War Stories of the Seven Troublesome Sisters.

For the past three years, this seven book endeavor has consumed all the time I have and some I don’t. Any blogging I do these days happens on another blog, Seven Troublesome Sisters. I invite you go there now and see what I’m up to.

Still have questions? If your looking for information on my first series of books, I have yet another blog, Becoming Extraordinary, which offers information about 46. Ascending.

If you’re looking for more information about me, read on.

I’ve made a lot of stops along the way to writing novels.  I’ve lived in seven cities, visited forty-six countries, and worked as a waitress, technical writer, and geophysicist. Now I answer a hot-line and volunteer for SFWA when I’m not writing.

Over the years, I’ve lost several cats but acquired a husband who still loves me and three kids who’ve grown up fine, both despite how odd I am.

All my life I’ve wanted to either tell these kinds of stories or be Chief Science Officer on the Starship Enterprise. These days I live and write in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where I admit I occasionally check my phone for a message from Captain Picard, just in case.
